What is the expected life of the Thermoplastic (PVC-U, PE100, and PPRC) piping system?

The lifetime guidelines shared via various pipe manufacturing standards are considered under lab conditions at ambient temperatures for both short- & long-term conditions. The main determinants are based on the operating conditions (Medium, Temperature, and Pressure/Non-pressure) so the suitability of a material may be checked via a chemical resistivity chart against certain pressure, concentration, and temperature.

Can PVC-U Pipes be used as electrical ducts and carrying other terms of wires & cables such as telephone lines etc.?

PVC-U does not conduct electricity and is therefore an excellent material to use for electrical applications, laying telephone cables, etc. Please refer to your project specifications or as per agreed terms with client/consultant guidelines.

Which Nominal Pressure and SDR are available in PPRC Pipes at Beta Pipes?

We manufacture PN 16/SDR (preferable for cold water applications) and PN 20/SDR (used for both hot & cold water applications) as per DIN 8077/78 and EN ISO 1587.

Is PPRC Pipe recommended for Natural Gas usage?

It isn’t recommended in the standard nor do we at Beta Pipes recommend using it for that purpose. As per the consultant, some are used for Compressed Airlines but that is as per the design guidelines and usage.

For what purposes Beta PPRC can be used?

Beta PPRC primary application is a domestic internal Hot & Cold water supply system but can also be used for other applications. Please consult our catalogue

Is Beta Pipes PPRC compatible with another brand fitting?

We provide complete pipes and fittings from 20 mm to 110 mm as per DIN 8077/78 and EN ISO 15874. In case, you want to use your existing fitting as long as it’s manufactured and supplied as per the same specifications, they should be completely compatible. Once installed correctly as per the guidelines, please ensure on-site hydrostatic testing, and in case of any issues, please contact us.

What are the applications of HDPE PE 100 pipes?

PE-100 pipes’ main application is water supply and distribution where it offers a lot of flexibility in terms of diameters and associated fittings, valves, and other components thereby giving it a special place amongst all competing materials. In addition, can be used in industries in Water & Waste-Water Management, Fire Fighting, and Compressed-Air Distribution. In infrastructure, PE-100 is used in cable ducting as well as main water lines for rural and urban projects.
